Harry was our first show dog and gave us a wonderful introduction into the sport. He had a passion for all things involving water and spent his happiest days swimming in the pool or at the park. He was very agile and with and had endless amounts of energy. We often joked that instead of "Cast A Spell" his registered name should have been "The Trouble With Harry" - because he was always in trouble! But while he may have found himself in troublesome situations at times, he was a sweet and loving dog who loved to be by our sides. He was a huge part of our family and his death has left a tremendous hole in our hearts. In the show ring, Harry was just as much of a handful as he was in his daily life, but that didn't bother us and he did quite well in his short life. He was just one major shy of his AKC Championship when we lost him at 2 and a half years of age to bloat. We chose our affix "Harrington" in honor of Harry, given that it translates to "from Harry's town." Though we miss him terribly, we are comforted by the many, many memories we have. We are so very thankful to have both Harry's sister and his niece, who both remind us of Harry every day. |
